Damaged arm of the two month-old has been amputated after it became infected – report
A Nigerian man identified as Mr, Confidence Amatobi, has allegedly broken his two-month-old baby’s hand for disturbing his sleep.
The incident reportedly occurred in Imo. The father allegedly beat his son, identified as Miracle with a hanger for disturbing his sleep, resulting in the amputation of the baby’s hand.
The National Human Right Commission (NHRC) and the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Imo State chapter have called on the Imo State Government and the Nigeria Police Force to immediately arrest and prosecute Mr. Amatobi.

Meanwhile, a report on social media qioted many eyewitnesses to have said that the arm of the baby has been amputated to save the baby’s lufe.
“The damage arm took days before proper medical treatment and became infected. Doctors confirned that the only way to save the baby is to chop off the infected arm,” on of the eyewitnesses said.
